Lion's Park

Updated: Jun 17, 2019

Lion's Park is arguably the best park in Port Coquitlam. Located along the Traboulay Trail, this park is lots of fun. It has a zip line (yes I've tried it, and yes it's great), a big play structure with a long slide for older kids, a spray park that's a bit gentler and great for toddlers and a super fun sand/water feature perfect for kids who love digging. Lots of trees provide tons of shade, and there's a well kept bathroom with a change table.

The real MVP of this park is the ample shady picnic tables, many of which are covered. It's one of the best places to have a picnic in all of the Tri-Cities.

The area the park is in offers lots of fun things to do and explore: walk along the trail and check out the river, or pop into downtown PoCo for cheep delicious samosas at The Bombay Sweet, treats at the Europe Old Fashion Bakery & Deli or bagels from 808. Often my trips to Lion's Park end with popping by Waves for a coffee and Donald's Market, which offers great organic food choices.
