Glen Park

Updated: Jun 17, 2019

Big parks like Town Centre and Rocky Point can be tons of fun, but sometimes what you really want on a hot day is somewhere quiet and shady. That's why I love Glen Park. It has two play structures separated by a big grassy field perfect for kite flying or running around. My kiddo and I also love exploring the trials and grabbing pine-cones, sitting on tree stumps and playing hide & seek.

Park Info

  • Washrooms: No

  • Change table: No

  • Food: Nothing in park, but there is a sushi restaurant across the street

  • Age: The structure off Pipeline is best for tots (under 5-6) as bigger kids will likely get bored quickly, and only infant swings are available. However off Westwood there are both infant and big kid swings. Older kids may enjoy playing soccer or frizbee in the open grassy area.

  • Shade: Yes!

  • Picnic tables: Some, uncovered

  • Water feature: No

  • Ground cover: Wood chips

  • Parking: street parking

  • Transit: Very accessible by skytrain - closest stop is Lincoln on the Milenium line

  • Play Equipment Lending Library

This park is close to the Coquitlam City Centre Library, so stop in to pick up some books after a good play, or explore the food options in Henderson Place mall (The Coffee Bun Bakery, Steve's Poke Bar, Seoul Truck Street Food, Cup Full Ice Cream).

Personally I love going early in the morning and stopping for an americano at Pappa Roti - I love their JJ Bean coffee and vegan breakfast cookies.

UPDATE!

Glen Park now has a play equipment library! So cool!
